A team effort!

The '66 Ford birthing process couldn't have happened without the time, effort and love of an amazing group!
THE PRODUCER

Scott

Scott has a fantastic way of making fun things just happen.

His vision of the truck is nothing short of genius.

From the first time he rode the Ford to the Nevada desert in Smith Valley, Scott had it in mind to make the Ford the greatest truck ever.

And if Scott's involved, you just know it will be done right.
THE DIRECTOR

Lawrence (Larry to his friends)

Larry has loved this truck since he first laid eyes on it back in 1981 in Winters, California, sought out the owner, a retired Ford dealer, and bought it from him.

While in college, between classes and beers he spent a rainy winter quarter at UC Davis rebuilding the engine by hand, alone, while wearing three or four Brooks Brothers Oxford-cloth shirts at a time, only to have the pistons melted onto the crank-shaft a month after finishing by his now ex-girlfriend Robin as she tried to drive on the freeway in low-range.
THE production chief

Tim

Born into an automotive family, Tim brings to the table years of experience in vehicle restoration. His Arizona connections and expertise made the enterprise smooth and easy going.

Tim's research into the background of the truck has fleshed out the fascinating story behind the Ford.  Tim documented and monitored the restoration progress carefully, making sure all details were addressed.

Sure, he may say he's a Chevy man, but deep down, he holds a special place in his heart for the '66.
THE restoration experience Director

Pete

Having restored a '55 Dodge Power Wagon, Pete knows what goes into a quality restoration. And all good restoration projects needs someone who has experience, and can write.

Pete's intimate acquaintance with truck restoration, and his knack for wordsmithing gives voice to the Ford.

And it didn't hurt that Pete's skilled marksmanship ensured the resounding success in the high desert of Smith, Nevada, bestowing upon the Ford a reputation that will outlive us all.
THE Restoration Chief

Terry

As Restoration Chief, Terry is like the Music Director or a top-tier symphony orchestra. All things wise and wonderful flow through Terry's hands.

Terry found the original seat material; he located an original N.O.S. 1966 Ford Truck A/C unit; and he makes sure every detail of the truck remains 100% original, with the goal that the truck be in the same condition as the day it rolled off the assembly line.
THE research chief

Tom

Research Chief Tom has his work cut out for him!

Finding out the detailed facts about a truck made over 50 years ago is hard enough, but finding facts about this particular 1966 Ford Truck is especially difficult, as so few were made.

Tom has shown his valor. Thanks to him, our Forest Service Custom Cab Ford Truck is finding it's original 1966 roots.

An authentic restoration would not have been possible without his concerted efforts.
