The Crew
The Small Group That Guided the Restoration
This restoration was led by a close group of long-time friends who share a deep appreciation for vintage trucks and historically accurate rebuilds.
Each brought experience, perspective, and dedication to the project, helping ensure the truck returned to its exact 1966 specification.
Scott
Co-owner of the truck and the primary coordinator of the restoration.
Scott oversaw every detail of the project from planning through completion and ensured the work proceeded to the correct standard.
Larry
Co-owner of the truck and its original discoverer back in 1981.
Larry previously restored a 1954 Corvette and served as a judge for the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS).
He contributed to historical accuracy, documentation, and guidance throughout the project.
Tim
An automotive industry professional with decades of experience in parts and vehicle operations.
Tim assisted with logistics, research, and sourcing and helped coordinate the truck’s initial move from California to Arizona.
Pete
A long-time friend and vintage truck enthusiast who assisted with early research, documentation, and writing.
Pete previously restored a 1955 Dodge Power Wagon.
Terry
Owner of Vintage Auto Repair, the shop that performed and directed the full restoration.
Terry oversaw the mechanical, structural, and cosmetic work from disassembly through final assembly.
Tom
A core member of the Vintage Auto Repair restoration team.
Tom conducted extensive parts research, located rare original components—including the NOS air-conditioning system and correct door pockets—and led much of the detailed hands-on work.
